What is SEO?

SEO or search engine optimization is the practice by which one optimizes a website so that the search engine spiders and robots can better interpret the message of your website.

The job of a search engine is to provide the best results of a user's search query. How they do this is by crawling millions of websites and cataloging the information on every page. When a user then searches for information the search engine then displays the pages that are most relevant to the user's search query.

Optimizing your website helps the search engines understand the relevance of the information on your site so that it can provide that information to the users when they need it.

Why do I need SEO?

If you are not optimizing your website you can be sure that your competitors are. When that potential customer is looking for what they need, the search engines will display the websites that are most relevant to the user search query. If your website is not deemed to be relevant, then what the user will find is one of your competitors and not you.

What’s included in SEO?

  • Site Analysis - We use robust search engine optimization tools that allow us to identify any issues or shortfalls that your website may have.
  • Identify Site Issues - Once the issues for your website have been identified, we can then create a plan of attack for the best ways to rectify any of those issues and to help your website become more relevant.
  • Optimize Site Pages - The key to SEO is not one Magic Bullet. It consists of many different steps and tactics that include things like site speed, content, meta information and the overall construction of the website. In order to become more relevant than your competitors, you will have to make your website more efficient for the user’s need than your competitor is doing to theirs.
  • Citations & Backlinks - Backlinks and citations are HTML hyperlinks on other websites that link to your website. Google and other search engines look at these links like votes. If another site is linking to your website then the search engines consider that a vote of confidence, that your content contains the right information.
